Who are we ?
Prentkunst is an online - gallery, specialising in prints of well known artists from 1850 onwards offered at affordable prices.
Hans den Hollander, graphic designer and art collector of graphic art since his graduation from the Rietveld Academy in 1972, owns and operates Prentkunst.nl
His interest in the art of prints developed when he worked as a assistant in the famous printshop of Piet Clement in Amsterdam. Alongside his work as graphic designer, the collecting of prints and etchings has been his passion. Prints from his collection have been exhibited regularly in various art galleries in the Netherlands.

What do we offer?
We offer a broad array of 19th century and modern prints at attractive prices.
The prints are dispatched without frame. This is practical and will keep the cost as low as possible. As an extra service we can frame or mount your print in our workshop at reasonable cost.
The artists whose works figure in our collection are arranged by country in alphabetical order.
Displayed prints are changed each month on the website, so visit these pages regularly !
If you would like extra information about our collection or a specific print, please mail us. Our large collection of reference books and catalogues will be at your disposal.
Documentation of your collection
Documentation of art works is absolutely essential for insurance purposes. Experience shows that many art collectors, private clients and institutions do not find the time to catalogue their collections as well as they ought.
Prentkunst.nl can help you solve this time consuming but necessary task. Our special service will carefully describe and photograph your works of art and produce documentation which can then be safely stored away in a locker. We'll be glad to show you what such documentation looks like.
Graphic design
The design of catalogues and other printed material for institutions and private clients is also part of the activity of Prentkunst.nl. From design to print.
Warranty
We guarantee the originality of all works of art in our collection. In the unlikely event of a falsification, the print will be taken back and the purchase sum reimbursed immediately. If the print you have ordered is not up to your expectations on delivery, you are entitled to return it within 14 days without costs other than the return postage.
The Dutch Society for Original Prints
Prentkunst.nl is member of the Dutch Society for Original Prints. Membership is by invitation only. Members are professional artists, private art collectors, art galleries and museums. Only certain members have the right to use the logo of the society on their documents. The logo guarantees the trustworthiness of the user and serves as a warranty for the buyer of graphic art. Those who use the logo are under obligation to offer only original works of graphic art to their clients. When a buyer raises serious doubts as to the originality of a print, the print will be taken back and the customer fully reimbursed. If buyer and seller cannot come to an agreement, the buyer can call on the board of the society for a binding arbitration.
